Constellium announced that it has begun funding its first projects through the ConstelliumCARES Fund, a philanthropic program created in 2023 with the goal of generating a positive impact on programs globally and regionally, as well as in the local communities where it operates.
Constellium has also pledged up to EUR 1 million per year to advance projects related to climate change, inclusion and diversity, and skills development through educational initiatives.
The ConstelliumCARES Fund is an initiative that originates from the various community service activities carried out by Constellium’s plants, research centers and corporate offices, with the help of the volunteer work of its employees. It aims to leverage these actions to address problems both globally and locally.
According to Constellium CEO Jean-Marc Germain, the company understands that its success depends to a large extent on the well-being of the communities in which they are present. That is why they have created the ConstelliumCARES Fund, with the aim of generating a positive impact and contributing to a sustainable and equal future for all. “I am proud of this philanthropic initiative, but even prouder of our many employees who volunteer their time to serve their community,” added Germain.
During 2023, the newly formed ConstelliumCARES Fund organization was responsible for sponsoring different projects in Europe and the United States that aimed to improve local communities in areas such as education, biodiversity and inclusion. In addition, assistance and support will be provided to schools and educational programs in Alabama, Georgia and Michigan to help students in disadvantaged situations.
The main objective of the project is to provide support in areas such as housing, rehabilitation, training and other services to marginalized populations in the cities of Paris and Baltimore. The aim is to provide opportunities for these communities to improve their quality of life and reduce existing inequalities.
France is also promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities through the provision of appropriate training and equipment. The aim is to ensure that these people have access to the same opportunities and resources as the rest of society, in order to improve their quality of life. To promote learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and create job opportunities for women in France and the United States.
A group of specialists is evaluating different projects focused on the environment and the community to be financed over a 20-year period.
