Constellation Brands, Inc., a company specializing in the production of spirits and beer, published a report on its ESG environmental impact. It is an evolution of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility reports, highlighting the commitments and objectives established to positively impact the planet and its people, and the progress made to achieve them.

The company’s aforementioned Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Impact Report 2022 reveals the remarkable progress made in its key ESG focus areas. Among their main objectives are to serve as good stewards of the environment; improve social equity within their industry and communities; and promote responsible drinking.

The report also raises the recommendations of the Climate-related Financial Disclosures working group in developing and disclosing Constellation’s approach to managing climate risk and opportunity and references the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition, to enable the company to better meet stakeholder expectations with respect to the information provided on these important topics, and to better reflect the company’s ongoing efforts to address pressing environmental and social needs that are important to its communities, consumers and employees, this ESG Impact Report has been prepared with reference to the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board’s alcoholic beverage standard.

“While Constellation has a rich history that demonstrates its commitment to doing well by doing good, we believe that the social, economic and environmental challenges of today’s world require greater responsibility, which is why we have reinforced our ESG commitments as a central tenet of our long-term business strategy,” noted Bill Newlands, Constellation Brands’ president and chief executive officer.

Improve social equity within the industry and local communities: champion the professional development and advancement of women in the beverage alcohol industry and local communities; enhance economic development and prosperity in disadvantaged communities; and champion an inclusive culture characterized by diversity of background and thought, reflective of the consumers and communities served by the company.
