Congresswoman Carol Miller, along with other representatives from different states have reactivated the Bipartisan Congressional Aluminum Caucus, whose purpose is to raise awareness and bring to the forefront the relevance of the aluminum industry in the U.S., its production, use and the key issues of the sector. The representative assures how important aluminum is, from its uses in domestic life, to the creation of space rockets or the cars that people use on a daily basis. She also pointed out the importance of this sector at the labor level, as it “it generates jobs for hundreds of thousands of American workers”.. There are around 700,000 workers in the aluminum industry in the US.
