After the intervention in the Congress of Deputies of the President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, and his explicit mention to SERCOBE, organization that represents the Spanish Capital Goods Sector, CONFEMETAL, of which SERCOBE is a member, has come out in its defense.
Specifically, from said organization they point out that the mention of the Ukrainian president is obviously based on erroneous information and is completely wrong, since the National Association of Capital Goods Manufacturers, SERCOBE, ceased its promotion and representation activity in Russia in 2014, after the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation and in accordance with the sanctions imposed by the International Community.
In this sense, they add that the activity of the Spanish capital goods sector always and strictly complies with international legality and, as a result, it has not done business with Russian companies or organizations since the aforementioned international sanctions were imposed. Its activity has been limited to participating in international tenders in the Russian market and other markets in the region, always within the framework of operations financed by multilateral organizations and in full compliance with international law.
