Coca-Cola is taking its flagship cola brand to another level. The initiative, called Coca-Cola Creations, includes a series of limited edition flavor varieties whose names do not sound like flavors at all. Coca-Cola Starlight is the first product launched by Coca-Cola under its new global innovation platform, Coca-Cola Creations.

According to the company, Coca-Cola Starlight was created with the vision that, in a world of infinite possibilities, somewhere in the universe, there could be a different kind of Coca-Cola with infinite possibilities. The packaging features a star field filled with multidimensional light.

Coca-Cola describes the Coca-Cola Starlight flavor as “including notes reminiscent of stargazing around a campfire, as well as a refreshing sensation that evokes the feeling of a cool trip into space.”

Three decades ago, Coca-Cola partnered with NASA to become one of the first soft drinks to travel into space. “With Coca-Cola Starlight, we wanted to celebrate the remarkable capability of space exploration,” says Oana Vlad, the company’s senior director of global brand strategy.

The limited edition space-inspired Coca-Cola will be available in single 20-ounce bottles, as well as in 10-packs of 7.5-ounce mini cans. For its promotional campaign, Coca-Cola has partnered with ‘My Head & My Heart’ singer Ava Max, featuring an augmented reality ‘Concert in a Coke’ experience, in which the pop star performs her hits.
