On May 17, the Coca-Cola Company inaugurated its fourth beverage production plant in Uzbekistan. The facility, with three lines for the production of 280 million liters of finished products annually, was established with an investment of more than US$110 million.


Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment and Trade Laziz Kudratov said Coca-Cola’s entry into Uzbekistan was a testament to the country’s thriving business environment. The global beverage giant already has Uzbek plants in Tashkent, Urgench and Namangan. “Our reforms [para crear un entorno empresarial favorable] are not just promises but actions that have made our investment environment more attractive and competitive.”


For his part, Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey stated that: “Samarkand, known for its important role on the Silk Road, has long been a center of trade and innovation. Our investments in Samarkand are a real treasure. It reflects our belief in the potential of Uzbekistan’s economy to drive growth.”

The plant is scheduled to start operations in the first quarter of 2025, with products to be sold on the domestic and CIS export markets.


Coca-Cola will establish a fifth production plant in Uzbekistan, in the Namangan region, by 2025, the presidential press service has announced.
Two days before the opening of the Samarkand plant, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his support for The Coca-Cola Company’s ambitious projects in the country during a meeting with Anadolu’s Quincey and Ozilhan.


In September 2021, Icecek completed the acquisition of a 57.1% stake in Coca-Cola Bottlers Uzbekistan from the State Asset Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan (UZSAMA) for US$252 million.
