Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam has inaugurated its new plant in Tay Ninh province, after 31 years of activity in the country. This facility is the first in the food and beverage sector in Vietnam to obtain LEED Gold certification for its sustainable design and construction, reinforcing the company’s commitment to environmental innovation.

During the opening ceremony, CEO Milly Cheng highlighted that this plant not only represents an investment in infrastructure but also in the sustainable future of Vietnam. According to Cheng, the center is designed to be a meeting point between innovation and sustainability and reflects Coca-Cola’s confidence in the country’s growth potential.

The Tay Ninh plant occupies 19 hectares and has five high-tech filling lines. It is equipped with renewable energy systems, including 6MW solar panels and a 10-ton biomass boiler. It has also implemented a system that allows the recovery and reuse of up to 89% of the water used in the production process, thus contributing to a more efficient management of water resources.

In addition to its focus on operational sustainability, Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam maintains an active commitment to community and environmental development. It is a founding member of PRO Vietnam, supports initiatives such as The Ocean Cleanup, and collaborates with the United Nations Development Programme. Together with The Coca-Cola Foundation, it also works on the restoration of water sources, such as the “Water for Life” project in Tram Chim National Park, and on educational and social programs aimed at improving the quality of local life.
