Clean Cult has announced its nationwide launch in more than 300 Costco stores and on the online store. This expansion represents a significant step towards their goal of making sustainable cleaning accessible, effective, and affordable.
Consumers will be able to find the “All-Purpose Cleaner Variety Pack” at Costco, winner of the Better Homes Gardens 2024 award for best multi-surface cleaner. This set comes in innovative aluminum bottles—refillable and pre-filled—with fragrances such as lemon verbena, wild lavender, and sweet basil. It’s the first time a cleaning product in an aluminum bottle has been launched in a wholesale sales environment.
Additionally, Clean Cult will also offer its line of detergents in Costco’s online store, thus expanding its retail presence and promoting more environmentally responsible cleaning options.
Clean Cult’s arrival at Costco responds to a growing demand: 75% of Americans support policies that reduce the use of disposable plastics, and a similar proportion believes that companies should stop relying so heavily on these materials. However, many retailers have not yet adapted their offerings.
Clean Cult is the only company that combines refillable aluminum bottles with refills in recyclable cardboard packaging for household cleaning products. Their plant-based and biodegradable formulas reduce single-use plastic usage by up to 90%.
Recognized for its innovation and environmental commitment, the brand has been certified as “Plastic Neutral” by rePurpose Global and has won multiple industry awards. Currently, its products are available in more than 70,000 retail locations, including Costco, Amazon, Kroger, and Wegman’s.
