The Paisano & Daughters group, Continental Delicatessen, has taken advantage of the upcoming Christmas season to develop and launch two new fun and innovative products: Continental Christmas Pudding and Traditional Custard in a can.
For nearly a decade, Continental Deli has been known for its cocktails and canned goods, such as Mar-tinny and Can-hattan. Now, it is expanding into the holiday arena with a delicious gift idea for a night out with friends and family.
Pastry chef Lauren Eldridge has revived the nostalgia of canned Christmas puddings, using her great-grandmother’s recipe. Each pudding is baked right in the can and includes a step-by-step guide to preparing it.
Rich, fruity, full of festive spices and with a generous dose of holiday cheer, Eldridge recommends serving the pudding warm, topped with chilled Traditional Continental Custard.
