The imagination in Cuba to get extra money has a new milestone: children in Santiago de Cuba also crush soda cans in order to sell them and get the money to support the so-called missionary canteens in the area. This is something that has been shared on Facebook by the father in charge of this mission NaunHung. CiberCuba has also reported this news of solidarity.

One girl presented what she called a “missionary center,” an open-air space where about a dozen people, mostly children and young people, are crushing aluminum cans.

The girl also showed the site where the cans that still need to be crushed are stacked, explaining that the goal is to. “to get the money we need for our missionary canteens”.

A woman from the community explained that the source of the cans that the children crush are collected by “brothers and sisters from the different communities” because they are “the contribution they give to the church”. “brothers and sisters from the different communities”, as it constitutes “the contribution they give to the church”.

She also indicated that later, the children, young people and adolescents are in charge of crushing them, packing them in sacks and selling them. The girl also showed in the video another of the activities they carry out in the rural community of Santiago de Cuba, which is the making of bread.
