Cerveza Cristal launched the project “A Deal for Nature” in Panama, an initiative that promotes recycling through a points system redeemable for products and clothing. The collection network has more than 30 points distributed in Panama City and the province of Chiriquí, including supermarkets, parks, transportation stations, markets, and community spaces, where cardboard and Tetra Pak containers are received.

In collaboration with the Municipality of Panama and the Waste Revolution foundation, differentiated bins will be installed in parks such as Andrés Bello and Urracá, as well as in the San Felipe Neri Market and other municipal areas.

Participants must register on the brand’s website and upload a photo of their contribution, adding 25 points per action, which can be exchanged for items from the Barú 2025 Collection, developed together with the Istmo brand. The line includes T-shirts, bombers, bandanas, and caps, made with recycled plastic bottles: each bomber uses about 18 bottles, each T-shirt 6 bottles, and the bandanas between 1 and 3 bottles.

The initiative continues the work of the campaign “This One’s for Nature,” which in 2023 and 2024 began as a pilot in Chiriquí and then extended to Panama City. Until December 2024, more than 343,000 plastic bottles and 50,000 aluminum cans were collected.
