Cermar, the cannery of innovative recipes records 20 million in sales
During the year 2022, Cermar recorded a large increase in its production volume compared to the previous year, reaching 22 million cans produced.
Cermar began producing canned food on May 13, 2009, 14 years later the company has become a benchmark in the canning sector after its strong commitment to innovation to find new flavors to conquer and surprise the palates of consumers.
Last year, the company grew by 31% over the previous year to 17.5 million euros in sales. This speed of expansion has been endorsed on two occasions with the Ardán Awards of the Vigo Free Trade Zone.
Their secret, they use advanced technologies to secure the contents in their cans and make possible an updated packaging process that preserves the flavors in a unique and incomparable way. Regarding the filling system, they have replaced the volumetric model usually used by other canneries with a new technology that allows them to control the weight of each of the cans they produce at all times.
In addition, they are equipped with the latest cooking technology. It is an improved system that greatly optimizes the steam energy resources required for the process and increases production capacity.
