Italian restaurant Carmine’s, aware of the need to make its products more accessible, has added the Eeasy Lid to Carmine’s line of sauces sold in jars in retail stores, thanks to a professional partnership with Consumer Convenience Technologies (CCT) Eeasy Lid helps people with dexterity challenges by allowing customers to open a vacuum-sealed jar by pressing a button on the top until it clicks. The user can then twist off the lid. The technology reduces the amount of force needed to open the lid by up to 50%, CCT said in a press release.
The aluminum lid is recyclable, according to CCT. Initially, the accessible bottles will be sold in 300 ShopRite stores, with expectations of expansion to other retail stores in the future. These stores are only present in the United States (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland).
