Some of the products that consumers are most hesitant to recycle are aerosols and cans without lids. This is revealed by the intelligent recycling assistant developed by Ecoembes, AIRE, which recorded more than 4,500 queries per day during these summer months. Aerosols, briks and tin cans, the waste that generate more doubts when it comes to recycling.

Aluminum-containing cans should be disposed of in the yellow container. It should also be taken into account that aerosol sprays, precisely the sunscreen, should be placed in the yellow container and the plastic wrappers of ice cream as well as the boxes where they are packed, should be placed in the blue container, only for paper and cardboard containers.

Other items that have to be put aside for the summer such as umbrellas, balls or beach toys should be deposited either in the normal gray garbage container or in a clean point set up for recycling. As for plastic bottles or briks, which can be of soft drinks or other beverages, such as gazpacho or milk, these should be deposited in the yellow container.
