CANPACK will once again be a partner of the prestigious BNP Paribas Green Film Festival taking place in Krakow (Poland) from August 12-18
BNP Paribas Green Film Festival is one of the world’s top-rated arts festivals, attracting the highest level of cinematic creativity to highlight vital environmental issues in powerful and imaginative ways.
As one of the largest artistic gatherings in Poland, it has been going from strength to strength since 2018.
It now reaches millions of people through TV and internet broadcasts, with educational projects organized by the Green Festival Foundation, promoting ecological thinking in the wider community.
At Festival Town, along the beautiful Vistula Boulevards at the foot of Wawel Castle, there will be workshops, panel discussions and other activities on a wide range of ecological topics.
As in previous years, CANPACK is planning a special street activation.
This year it will be a giant “pixelata” installed on the festival grounds by Every Can Counts.
Passersby will be invited to fill this structure with cans to create a great image with an important ecological message.
All the cans in the pixelata will then go to CANPACK’s recycling plant to be converted into new containers in approximately 60 days.
Bartłomiej Wojdyło, Sustainability Director of CANPACK Europe, said that this playful activity at the festival will highlight the infinite recyclability of aluminum beverage cans. “We also hope it will raise awareness of the urgent need to create a truly circular economy.”
The festival is a genuinely green event, with environmental best practices informing every aspect of its planning and activities.
“As one of the world’s largest packaging companies and a leading producer of aluminum beverage cans, we are proud that CANPACK Group’s ESG strategy continues to align with these vital objectives,” Wojdyło adds. “And, of course, we are very excited and really looking forward to participating in this important, informative and fun festival for another year.”
