Poland’s Canpack has just announced a new partnership. Together with Borjomi, it has created its first range of canned flavoured waters. The new series of Borjomi flavored water is naturally carbonated and made with fruits and herbs which is marking a milestone in the 130-year history of the mineral water brand.
The design of this stylish aluminium can manufactured by Canpack has the added benefit of blocking out air and light to preserve the natural properties of the flavoured water. A matte finish also gives the bottle a natural look that combined with bright colors mimics flavors such as citrus-ginger and lime-cilantro.
Stephen McAneny, Canpack’s commercial director, describes the opportunity as exceptional. “We work on the principle that packaging should contribute to the experience of the drink and the brand. This was a great opportunity to collaborate with a brand that has a long history and bring something new to the table. A matt finish adds a textured appearance and expresses the unique character of the Borjomi brand. We were delighted to contribute to the next chapter of their story,” he adds.
On the other hand, Nataliia Revika, Director of Brand Portfolio Management, IDS Borjomi International highlights that with Borjomi Flavored Water, their goal was to bring the taste of nature to consumers. “It was important to us to create packaging that celebrated and preserved the properties of our youthful mineral water. Working with Canpack on our packaging meant we were able to turn our vision for our first flavoured water range in a can into reality.”
Undoubtedly, this range of drinks inspired by the current trend of healthy lifestyle whose consumers seek nature to enjoy a naturally refreshing drink, opens a gap in the market for canned flavoured drinks with an increasingly demanding and innovative healthy style in which design plays an increasingly prominent role.
