The CANPACK Group, one of the world’s largest packaging producers, is proud to announce that it is once again sponsoring the BNP Paribas Green Film Festival. As a global packaging company based in Krakow, CANPACK is actively involved in initiatives to protect the environment and promote recycling.

The BNP Paribas Green Film Festival is the first and largest green film festival in Poland. This year it celebrates its fourth edition, which will take place from 15 to 22 August in Krakow. The awards will be presented in eight film categories and will include a special “audience award”, which will be decided after voting on the Green Festival mobile app.

“We are delighted to be working again with the organizers of the Green Film Festival. The positive and intimate atmosphere of the festival helps us to take a step back, reflect and discuss often complex environmental issues,” says Bartlomiej Wojdylo, Deputy Director of Sustainability at CANPACK Group.

During the event, CANPACK will invite participants to create a huge image made out of beverage cans: a pixelata. With this activity, the company wants to inspire a debate about can recycling and its benefits. CANPACK will also provide canned water with the empty cans that will be collected and placed in specially prepared compactors. All collected cans, including the pixelated ones, will go to the CANPACK recycling plant, where they will be recycled into new cans in just 60 days.

“We are delighted that CANPACK has been associated with our festival from the very beginning. Its sustainable business model makes it a perfect fit with the philosophy of our festival. During the event itself, we especially appreciate the company’s educational area,” says Grzegorz Dukielski of the BNP Paribas Green Film Festival.
