Canpack has announced the appointment of Lorenzo Ruffatti as the new Group Treasury Director. Ruffatti, who has held the position since November 1, will be responsible for overseeing the group’s relationship with financial institutions, the areas of currency and commodity risk management.
Ruffatti joined Canpack in April 2021 as the Group’s first Investor Relations Manager. In his new role, Lorenzo will continue to manage the Group’s investor relations area and will work closely with the Executive Committee, the finance team and the communications team to enhance engagement with Canpack’s bond investors and other stakeholders in the investment community.
Lorenzo Ruffatti, Group Treasury Director, also states that “after more than 20 years of experience in the capital markets and financial services, and a few months at Canpack, I am delighted with this new opportunity that CANPACK is offering me”.
Marius Croitoru, Group CFO says “Lorenzo’s extensive experience and knowledge, especially in the fixed income markets, is a great asset to the company as we continue our growth journey and take a more public stance following our first high bond issue and subsequent bond issue last month”.
According to the company, Lorenzo has extensive experience in international financial services and capital markets from a wide variety of financial institutions. His most recent position was at Brokertec, part of the CME Group, where he held various senior positions in London and Amsterdam. Prior to this, Lorenzo held senior positions at UniCredit AG and Banca IMI, based in Milan, and at Barclays Capital in London.
