At the UK Packaging Awards 2025, CANPACK Group and P. Wilkinson Containers & William Say took home the top awards in the metal packaging categories, organized by the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association (MPMA). The ceremony, held at the Hilton Park Lane, brought together industry professionals to celebrate 20 years of innovation, creativity, and sustainability in metal packaging.
Main Winners:
CANPACK Group won the ‘Metal Pack of the Year – High Volume Food and Beverage’ award for its limited edition ‘8.6 Original – Tattoo Limited Edition’ can. Ardagh Metal received an honorable mention for its ‘Thatchers Juicy Apple’ can.
In the ‘Promotional, Decorative & General Line’ category, P. Wilkinson Containers & William Say was recognized for its ‘Knoops Hot Chocolate Tin’, while Emballator UK Ltd received an honorable mention for its ‘Fleetwood Colour Perfect’ can.

Jason Galley, CEO of MPMA, noted that these awards reflect how the British metal packaging industry is redefining design and functionality, while fostering circularity and environmental responsibility.
Details of the Award-Winning Packaging:
CANPACK’s ‘8.6 Original Tattoo’ can celebrates the art of tattooing and uses Quadromix technology, which allows printing up to four different designs in a single production run. Marketing specialist Joanna Ozegalska highlighted that the award recognizes the company’s commitment to innovation and storytelling at the point of sale.
The ‘Knoops Hot Chocolate Tin’ from P. Wilkinson Containers & William Say is distinguished by its advanced digital printing, which simulates complex textures with high definition, achieving a minimalist and elegant design. Stuart Wilkinson, Sales and Marketing Director, highlighted the importance of being pioneers in the use of digitally printed cans in the UK.
The honorable mentions also highlighted technical and visual achievements, such as the four-color printing in a single pass of the ‘Fleetwood Colour Perfect’ can and the tactile finish of the ‘Thatchers Juicy Apple’ can.
