Jealsa and Sociedad Deportiva Barbantia are organizing the 5th Annual 10K Solidarity Walk next Sunday, September 28th, a charity walk to support leukemia research through the STOP LEUKEMIA Foundation.

The initiative is part of the promotion of strategic alliances as an engine for social change, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 17 of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda, which emphasizes the importance of cooperation to achieve common goals.

In Spain, between 4,500 and 5,000 new cases of leukemia are diagnosed each year, with a parallel increase in mortality associated with this hematological disease. According to the organizers, progress in the fight against leukemia depends both on scientific advancement and the collective commitment of society.

The 5th Annual 10K Solidarity Walk invites citizens to participate physically in the walk, contributing with each step to the financing of research. Those who cannot attend can join through the “number 0”, available on the same registration platform.

The activity seeks to combine sport, social awareness, and solidarity, reinforcing the idea that each individual contribution is an impetus to achieve common goals and save lives.
