Did you know that only 1% of the Earth’s surface water is suitable for human use? As the world’s population continues to grow, the amount of available freshwater remains the same. According to the latest United Nations population report, the world’s population now exceeds 7.7 billion people.

CannedWater4Kids, a non-profit charity, works to bring clean, safe water to children around the world. For two decades cW4K has been raising funds through private donations, grants, product sponsorships and the sale of drinking water packaged in sustainable aluminum cans and bottles, all for a charitable purpose. The cW4K drinking water is labeled as ‘Drinking Water with a Purpose’: the cW4K canned water line acts as a vehicle to spread the message and raise funds for a charitable purpose.

cW4K CEO and founder Greg Stromberg notes that “we have helped more than one million children gain access to safe and sustainable drinking water in Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia and the highlands of Guatemala. We look forward to continuing to grow into a recognized brand, with the sole purpose of helping more children gain access to water and education”.

Companies such as INX International, Novelis, Sherwin-Williams, Roeslein and Stolle Machinery have joined the cause and added canned drinking water to their programs. Exclusive hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in California and Radisson Red in Minneapolis, MN include CW4K water in their guest rooms. Since 2008, the organization has funded and provided 35 sustainable wells and water purification systems in the highlands of Guatemala, as well as in Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, Africa.

They have also helped the Red Cross provide disaster relief in Japan, Haiti, New Jersey, Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. 95% of every dollar raised helps fund and deliver clean water programs to those in need around the world.
