There are foods such as canned sardines that have a great nutritional value and are ready in the pantry for those dinners when we do not feel like cooking or those meals when we are in a hurry. The Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) elaborated a few weeks ago the best options of canned sardines for their value for money.
The best three cans of sardines in olive oil according to the OCU
The OCU usually makes rankings of different basic foods to guide users and get an idea of the products by price, quality and taste. A few weeks ago they published their analysis of 19 brands of sardines in olive oil to establish a podium with the three best.
Like tuna or mussels, cans of sardines are very popular in Spanish pantries. This food is already prepared and can be stored for a long time to be used whenever it suits us best, whether it is a picnic where we take a sandwich and fill it with sardines, or to accompany our salad for a quick and nutritious dinner.
When it comes to choosing sardine cans, there are different groups, but the most important one is the canned sardines. best of all is sardines in their natural state or sardines in olive oil. Sardines in marinade, tomato, sunflower oil or any other alternative is not the healthiest option, so we will choose sardines in olive oil, or natural sardines to which we can add the quality oil.
