To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the iconic Pac-Man video game, Candy Can has partnered again with Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP) to launch a series of special edition collectible cans that combine arcade nostalgia with the current beverage market.
The collection features two flavors, sparkling orange and sparkling cherry, in 33cl Sleek cans with a matte finish from AMP. The most outstanding feature is the 45 unique can ends, designed with AMP’s H!GHEND technology, each displaying original Pac-Man-inspired art, including the pixelated character himself and the iconic ghosts, turning each can into a collector’s item.
“Pac-Man is a cultural icon recognizable worldwide, and we love combining fun and creativity. Thanks to H!GHEND technology, we were able to create something truly unique, transforming each can into a collectible moment,” said Sander de Jonge, founder of Candy Can.
For his part, Gerlof Toenhake, Sales Director at AMP, has stated that with the right design and technology, a can can tell stories.“This special edition series not only celebrates Pac-Man, but captures 45 years of cultural history in every detail.”
The collectible cans are available in Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Czechia, Hungary, Lithuania, and Denmark.
