The Global Aluminium Foil Roller Initiative (GLAFRI) elected Bruno Rea, CEO of Laminazione Sottile Group, as its new president during the General Assembly on January 28, 2026, held within the framework of GLAFCO 2026 in New Delhi, India.
Rea will be accompanied by Simon Chan (Xiamen Xiashun Aluminium), re-elected as vice president, and Krishna Kumar (Hindalco), appointed vice president for the first time, forming an internationally balanced leadership team.
The new president noted that his administration will focus on strengthening global cooperation, driving sustainability, and consolidating the role of aluminum as a key material for innovative and responsible applications.
GLAFRI will continue to promote international collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development of the aluminum foil market, following the main themes addressed at GLAFCO 2026.
