The Brazilian aluminum beverage can industry has become one of the country’s most significant and discreet industrial powerhouses, thanks to sustained growth, a concentrated manufacturing base, and one of the most effective recycling systems in the world.
In 2024, Brazil achieved record sales of 34.8 billion cans, and during the first half of 2025, 16.5 billion units were sold, consolidating its central role in the consumption of canned beverages.
The country maintains an outstanding recycling rate of 97.3%, the result of collaboration between the industry, collection cooperatives, and efficient recovery programs, positioning it as a world leader in the circular economy of metal packaging.
The industry also stands out for its concentrated structure of production plants and continuous investment in technological modernization, which allows it to respond to growing national and international demand and reinforces its strategic role within the Brazilian manufacturing sector.
