BOBST, a leading global provider of substrate processing, printing and converting equipment and services for the label, packaging, folding carton and corrugated industries, has announced the completion of Bobst Italia Spa’s final bidding process for the acquisition of the assets of Officine Meccaniche Giovanni Cerutti SpA and Cerutti Packaging Equipment Spa, including the 24/7 service company Cerutti Service Srl, (Cerutti).
“We are very pleased that the proceedings have finally been finalized, ending a period of uncertainty for Cerutti stakeholders locally and globally,” says Davide Garavaglia, general manager and product line director for gravure, vacuum, coating and laminating at Bobst Italy.
“As a company, Bobst Italia is characterized by financial and social sustainability and, as such, is able to create long-term value. After completion, we will be able to integrate Cerutti technology together with its technical experts into our organisation, which adds to our existing knowledge and capabilities. It also means that we can now provide BOBST’s high level of service and support to Cerutti machines installed around the world,” he adds.
Based in San Giorgio Monferrato, Bobst Italia, is BOBST’s global centre of excellence for gravure printing, laminating and coating technologies for the flexible packaging industry. The acquisition of Cerutti is in line with BOBST’s strategic objective to further consolidate its technology and market leadership in the global gravure printing market.
