From September 13 to 14, the NEC in Birmingham will host a new edition of the UK Metal Expo, the event specifically aimed at the UK manufacturing and engineering sectors.
UK Metals Expo will feature a full panel of events including free demonstrations and talks to offer the latest news on a wide range of innovative products, services and interactive sessions led by top experts such as JCB, Jaguar Land Rover, Stellantis, Boeing, Spirit AeroSystems, ADS Group, Rolls-Royce, Ford Motor Company, Ricardo, Network Rail, The Royal Mint, RWE, Algeco, OCEA Shipbuilding, Bryden Wood, Tata Steel, Make UK, Outokumpu, Norsk Hydro, ThyssenKrupp, CRU, etc.
Rupert Redesdale, chairman of UK Metals Expo, said that “UK has significant challenges and opportunities to achieve Net Zero through advanced materials and manufacturing. A thriving metals supply chain at home is a prerequisite for achieving Net Zero as it empowers energy efficient production, encourages circular economy practices and supports sustainable innovation. UK Metals Expo aims to foster collaborations and point the way to get there.”
The event has attracted numerous industry experts representing a variety of associations and sectors such as the Advanced Forming Research Centre, Federation of Aluminium, Organization for Recycling Containers of Aluminium, British Steel Construction Association and the British Stainless Steel Association (BSSA), among others. These entities also include Make UK, Made in the Midlands, Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association, UK Steel, TWI, IOM3 and Innovate UK.
