In support of Buenos Aires’ recycling program, citizens are placing giant cans in public places for donation. A giant can designed by the people who used to work at BGH was installed in the Hundred Years Park with the purpose of creating spaces to separate the aluminum cans that will be donated to the environmental program of Recycling and Environment of the Garrahan Foundation of Buenos Aires.

The installation of containers began when BGH management and directors decided to establish the Corporate Social Responsibility program to help improve and maintain a clean and livable environment. The announcement was celebrated by the Women Volunteers of the Garrahan Foundation of Río Grande, who highlighted the commitment of the people, institutions and companies that join the work of collecting materials that can be reused in the Foundation’s Recycling and Environment Program.

“We continue to add up to take all the recovered material to Buenos Aires together with the Municipality RGA, Hugo Rebora’s Recycler, Chichín Bonilla and those who help us with the collection, transportation, logistics in emptying all the containers by Sandra, Patricia Themis and the silent neighbors who take time to help, volunteers pointed out in networks.

The referents of the Foundation had the opportunity to thank BGH for its commitment to continue collaborating with them. There were many changes during this time and it was very important that all the volunteers continued without obstacles to help the children of the country who come to Garrahan Hospital.
