Baosteel’s metal packaging division for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) reported solid results in its semi-annual report. Between January and June, the company achieved sales of 4,268.62 million yuan (approximately $610 million), representing a 6.8 % increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The net profit stood at 102.55 million yuan, compared to 93.39 million yuan recorded in the first half of the previous year. The earnings per share remained stable at 0.08 yuan.
Baosteel Packaging attributes this growth to sustained demand in its main markets and improvements in operational efficiency, reinforcing its leadership in the metal packaging sector for FMCG in China. The company continues to focus on innovation and sustainability to consolidate its position in a highly competitive market.
