Ball announces winners of the 2nd Brazilian Sustainability Tournament
The multinational Ball Corporation and the Alpha Lumen Institute (IAL) announced the winners of the 2nd Brazilian Sustainability Tournament, an initiative aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), with emphasis on the 2030 Agenda. The contest aims to raise students’ awareness of the importance of the recycling chain
The participants, students from public and private schools in Brazil, were challenged to develop impact projects related to electronic waste disposal, use of materials, garbage collection points and social commitment, among others.
The first group, students from 3rd to 5th grade of elementary school, was awarded the Professor Cláudio Brandão Municipal School, Belo Horizonte and the Objetivo School, Capela do Alto (SP).
The second category belongs to students from 6th to 9th grade, among which the students of the Military College of Belo Horizonte and the orofesora of the State School Maria Apparecida Pinto da Cunha, from Indaiatuba (SP) stood out.
The third group includes high school and vocational-technical students. In this category, the Flávio Pinheiro School, from Ibitinga (SP) and the Padre Dionísio Homem de Faria State School, from Bom Jesus do Galho (MG) stood out.
