After celebrating its first process of getting to know its members, Más RSC reached the figure of one hundred members after holding its first networking meeting. Recently, representatives from Auxiliar Conservera, Andamur and Grupo G’s España met at an event to discuss sustainability issues, ranging from the current situation to projections for the future.
Last September, the Murcia association known as Más RSC brought together more than one hundred professionals at the Estrella de Levante tasting room. This entity focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility and hopes to remain committed to the objective of facilitating the meeting between different members to foster innovation and improve results.
The event was hosted by presenter and journalist Beatriz Salazar. Among the guests was Estrella de Levante’s Director of Energy and Environmental Optimization, Juan Antonio López Abadía. He explained how they have worked to improve environmental conditions from by-products, such as renewable energy generation and reduced water consumption.
In this line of work, López Abadía detailed their work in the medium and long term to develop projects “with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of their production processes, as well as generating a more sustainable and eco-efficient business model”.
Afterwards, the head of Talent Management and CSR at Auxiliar Conservera, Paola Giménez; the director of Marketing, Customer Service and CSR at Andamur, Ángeles Ruiz; and the head of Communication and CSR at Grupo G’s España, Lourdes Sánchez, took part in a round table discussion, reflecting on the present and future of sustainability.
They all emphasized “the medium and long-term benefits of investing in CSR in companies in areas such as human resources, marketing and communication”. At the same time, they demanded specific training on issues such as compliance, certifications and sustainability reports.
Francisco J. Bastida, president of Más RSC, thanked all those present for their commitment to the platform and recalled the activities carried out since its creation until now, including sustainability advice for schools and institutes. Thus showing their gratitude for their contribution to the well-being of the entire region.
The year 2021 saw the birth of Más RSC, a group made up of former students of the Master’s Program in Corporate Social Responsibility and the University Course on Equality, as well as members of the CSR Chair of the University of Murcia (UMU) chaired by Longinos Marín.
