Auxiliar Conservera and its workers bet on a Christmas of solidarity in 2020
The workers of the Murcian company Auxiliar Conservera celebrated Christmas in a different way.
After a year ravaged by the pandemic, they made a commitment to their company and their region, and they put their money where their mouths are and what is most needed now. They made a contribution in food and money, destined entirely to the Food Bank of each of the work centres of the metal packaging manufacturer: Murcia, Seville and La Rioja. In return, the Works Council fulfilled its commitment: to double the donation made by its workers. Thus, in addition to an extraordinary donation of 5,000 euros, they donated the additional 8,000 euros that the company has given to add to the voluntary contribution of the workers.
The digital media Murcia.com points out that the company from Molina had “the special collaboration of members of the ASSIDO foundations from Murcia and the Visueña Association of Help for Integration, from El Viso de Alcor (Seville), which helped to appreciate what is really valuable: the need to take care of each other and to always remain united”.
Auxiliar Conservera was born in the sixties of the last century when the canning industry in the Region of Murcia was beginning to flourish.
