AUXILIAR CONSERVERA PRESENTS ITS CSR REPORT UNDER THE SLOGAN ‘HERE, WITH YOU’.

The Molina-based company Auxiliar Conservera, specializing in the manufacture of metal packaging, has presented its 1st Corporate Social Responsibility Report (CSR) under the slogan ‘Here, With You’ in a new 6,000 square metre urban garden located next to its headquarters in Molina de Segura.

This organic garden, divided into 14 plots, will be available to the company’s employees free of charge so that they can promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage creativity and learning through workshops on organic farming. In this space, more than 30 types of vegetables, fruits and aromatic herbs will be grown, giving priority to seasonal products.

The event was attended by Daniel Ballesta, CEO of Auxiliar Conservera, Longinos Marín, director of the Chair of CSR at UMU, Paola Giménez, head of CSR at Auxiliar Conservera and Eliseo García Cantó, mayor of Molina de Segura.

During the presentation, AC’s CEO pointed out that %22its founders forged the values that still endure in the business, values such as humility, honesty and closeness, which allow us to continue here, standing and looking to the future with optimism; values that have been, are and will be the foundations of what a company should contribute in the field of CSR%22.

In its recent CSR report, Auxiliar Conservera details that last year the company reduced its production losses to 1.85%, a figure that it is committed to improving in 2021, where the objective is to achieve a reduction of 21%. Since 2015, the company has been analysing the environmental impact of its activity by calculating CO2 emissions, with a cumulative reduction of more than 50% by 2020.

Auxiliar Conservera’s production last year amounted to 1,241 million containers. It also had a turnover of 177 million euros, which represents a growth of 2.4% compared to the previous year. The company markets around 2,900 references in more than 20 countries. In addition, it has a network of 550 clients, and its staff is made up of 975 workers.

In addition, the company from Molina is part of the United Nations Global Compact as a ‘signatory’ partner, joining the almost 900 entities that make up the Spanish network, in the largest corporate sustainability initiative on the planet.
