Auxiliar Conservera launches its first carbon neutral product certified according to PAS 2060, in combination with ArcelorMittal’s XCarb® green steel certificates.
Auxiliar Conservera has taken an important step forward in its “Emissions Reduction Plan” initiated in 2015 with the aim of minimizing its carbon footprint.
The company has signed an agreement with ArcelorMittal with the aim of acquiring XCarb® green steel certificates for its tinplate supplies.
This collaboration reflects the commitment of both companies to decarbonization and the reduction of their environmental footprint.
The XCarb® green steel certificates represent the additional CO2 emission reductions that ArcelorMittal has achieved from third-party audited CO2 reduction projects at its steel production plants.
These certificates have enabled Auxiliar Conservera to reduce the value of Scope 3 CO2 emissions related to the purchase of tinplate for this project by 78%.

The IBER – Forest Bank project covers 7.7 hectares and aims to recover degraded areas, promoting biodiversity in the area by planting trees and native vegetation.
“Our commitment to decarbonization and sustainability is reflected in concrete actions such as this,” said Daniel Ballesta Sarrión, CEO of Auxiliar Conservera., stated Daniel Ballesta Sarrión, CEO of Auxiliar Conservera. “We are determined to continue collaborating with partners like ArcelorMittal to achieve our environmental goals and contribute to the care of the planet.”
