Have a drink without coffee, but with all the flavor of a freshly brewed cup of coffee. It is already possible and it is the new proposal of Atomo Coffee with which it intends to make a place in the American market, more and more demanding and innovative.
This young start-up company has just launched this canned cold drink made from a combination of dates, chicory root, grape skin and caffeine. The drink tastes like coffee even though it is not made with coffee beans. According to the company, most of the ingredients are also recycled and a service called Carbon Cloud is used to calculate its carbon footprint.
According to the company, “We are food scientists, biochemists, coffee roasters and entrepreneurs, and we have developed the world’s first molecular coffee that contains no coffee beans. By reverse engineering the coffee bean, Atomo has created a natural, sustainable coffee with the same caffeine you’d expect and no acid or bitterness”.
From Átomo Coffe adds that “Atomo ground coffee can be substituted ounce for ounce with regular ground coffee, in drip machines, French presses, aeropresses, refillable K-Cups, pourovers: whatever fuels your morning cup of joe”.
