The Japanese group Asahi, a producer of beer, beverages, and food, is still unable to resume production at its factories following a cyberattack that affected its systems, and there is no estimated timeframe for recovery, according to a company spokesperson on Tuesday.

Asahi has 30 plants in Japan, although it is still being investigated whether all of them have stopped production. The disruption affects operations of the group’s companies in Japan, including order processing, shipments, and customer service centers.

The incident, which occurred on Monday, September 29, has not resulted in confirmation of any leaks of personal information or customer data. The company stated that it is actively investigating the causes and working to restore its systems, although the failure is limited only to domestic operations.
