Asahi Group, the well-known Japanese brewery responsible for Super Dry, has announced that it aims to normalize its logistics operations by February 2026 after a cyberattack that occurred in late September, although not all products will be available for shipment on that date.

The attack, which occurred on September 29, caused massive disruptions in order processing, shipments, and customer service centers, and may have compromised personal data of 1.52 million customers, as well as information of 114,000 contacts and 275,000 current and former employees and their families. Asahi indicated that none of this data has appeared online so far.

As a result, the company decided to postpone the publication of its third-quarter results, originally scheduled for November 12, to more than 45 days after the close of the quarter. In addition, the full annual report will be delayed more than 50 days after the close of the fiscal year, which ends on December 31, 2025.

Asahi thus joins other international companies affected by cyberattacks, such as Jaguar Land Rover and Marks & Spencer, which also had to suspend operations and orders due to hacker attacks.
