Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade has signed an investment agreement with Arnest Packaging Solutions to establish a state-of-the-art aluminum can manufacturing plant at the Navoi Industrial Development Complex. This facility, backed by an investment of approximately $100 million, is projected to produce more than 1.5 billion aluminum cans annually.

The new plant will create more than 200 skilled jobs, contributing to the growth of the local economy. It is expected to begin operations in the fall of 2025.

Khurram Teshabaev, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, stressed the importance of the project, noting that it represents a breakthrough in the country’s technological development in the field of beverage packaging.

According to Teshabaev, more than 30% of the cans produced will be exported. He added that the project exemplifies strong collaboration, with the government offering incentives such as tax breaks and subsidies to attract investment. Teshabaev also stressed the government’s role in improving infrastructure and offering fully equipped production facilities to foreign investors.

Arnest Packaging Solutions, a major aluminum can producer in Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), sees this venture in Uzbekistan as a strategic move. The Navoi Industrial Development Complex, which includes the Navoi Free Industrial Economic Zone (FIEZ), established in 2008, offers advantages such as tax exemptions and simplified customs processes to attract foreign investment.
