Ardagh Metal Packaging decided to help beverage brands by launching a new size recyclable container for distribution. AMP – NA designed a new 19.2 oz (568 ml) beverage can to meet growing customer demand in the global market for established brands. The company is committed to offering a wide variety of unique products to meet changing market needs and remain competitive.
AMP has just announced a new size for its U.S.-made cans: 19.2 ounces (568ml). The product offers a choice between the more traditional 16-ounce and 24-ounce sizes and is supporting brands looking to expand into categories such as beer, ciders, hard alcoholic beverages and water, to name a few. The new product also benefits from the inherent sustainability features of beverage cans, such as leading recycling rates and recycled content rates. Beverage cans also offer ideal filling, distribution and retail display economics, further strengthening the customer’s business objectives.
Claude Marbach, the head of AMP-NA, explained how the company has expanded its product offering to meet the needs of consumers seeking a sustainable approach and the growing demand for cans in numerous categories. This shows AMP’s real and continued commitment to customers.
“This is also a clear indication of AMP’s commitment to customers.”
he said. “We are enabling brands to further differentiate their product on retail shelves by choosing from a wide range of sizes, graphics, and tab and end options. This new 19.2 oz (568 ml) size is indicative of this commitment, where AMP serves as an integral partner to enable our customers to achieve their branding goals and results.” he added.
The new 19.2-ounce (568 ml) beverage can will be produced at AMP’s new manufacturing facility in Huron, Ohio, and will be available by the end of the first quarter.
