Hart Print, a leader in digital aluminum can printing in North America and a subsidiary of Ardagh Metal Packaging, is expanding its production capacity on the East Coast of the United States with the opening of a new plant in Elkton, Maryland. With this addition, Hart Print is expected to increase its annual printing capacity by 100 million cans, which is 66% more than its current capacity.

According to JP Paradis, one of Hart Print’s founders and CEOs, they are using their new technology along with AMP’s pasteurizer-ready cans to take full advantage of digital printing. He claims that no other provider in the market can match the quality of his services in this regard.
Elkton is a purpose-built facility that houses high-tech digital printing presses. It has three Hinterkopf D360, and additional space for future expansion. These machines are capable of producing high quality images with a resolution of 1800 dpi directly on aluminum cans, allowing printing in a wide range of colors covering more than 95% of the available spectrum.

Stephanie Hart, who is one of the founders and CEO of Hart Print, says this expansion will allow a large number of beverage suppliers in the northeastern United States to have easier access to their services. The company prides itself on being able to offer customizable can printing options to its customers.
