Since updating its sustainability strategy in July 2020, Ardagh has maintained a clear focus on its three sustainability pillars: Emissions, Ecology and Social. This important group recently published its Sustainability Update Report. The document provides a generalized vision of how these three axes contribute to integrating the concept of sustainability in all areas of the business.
Although this report covers one calendar year, Ardagh recently received approval for its emission reduction targets from Science Based Targets (SBTi). Prior to the publication of the report, Ardagh also received the prestigious EcoVadis award, the prestigious platinum rating, the highest sustainability ranking ever awarded.
“Ardagh is committed to moving forward with ambitious actions in sustainability and continually improving our infinitely recyclable metal and glass packaging to advance our commitment to zero net emissions by 2050.” This was confirmed by John Sadlier, sustainability director of Ardagh Group. “This update report shares how we actively promote sustainability across our business operations to deliver strong sustainability performance for our customers” added Ardagh Group’s Sustainability Director.
