Antares Vision Group, using Applied Vision Corporation technology, has launched the Genius Orion G6 XL, a non-contact inspection system designed for extra-large two- and three-piece food cans, with smooth or beaded bodies.
The system performs a 360° inspection of each can at speeds of up to 800 cans per minute (peaks of 1,500), generating color images compared to a reference standard to ensure print quality and brand consistency.
The XL model allows inspection of cans from 99 to 153 mm in diámeter and up to 237 mm in height, incorporating a barcode reader with more than 99.7 % precisión. It detects defects such as color changes, registration errors, peeling, chipping, and dents, automatically rejecting out-of-tolerance cans.
Fully CE certified and based on the Genius platform, the Orion G6 XL easily integrates into existing production lines, offering quick installation, reliable operation, and maximum efficiency for food can manufacturers.
