Brendan Whitworth has been named CEO of the North American operations of global brewer Anheuser-Busch.
Among Whitworth’s accomplishments have been, according to the company, improving U.S. revenue trend by 2.8 percentage points from 2017 to 2020; adding more than $1 billion in revenue from non-beer marketing; leading the implementation of Anheuser-Busch’s e-commerce platforms; and strengthening relationships with wholesalers and retail business partners.
“Over the past four years, Brendan has helped shape and drive our 10-year business strategy. His market knowledge, consumer-first mentality and strong leadership have been invaluable assets in our journey to lead the industry’s growth,” said Michel Doukeris, incoming CEO of AB InBev. “With his deep roots in the U.S., his experience partnering with our wholesale and retail customers, and his ability to inspire the North American team, I am confident that Brendan is the right leader to accelerate our momentum in the U.S. and Canada.”
Brendan Whitworth will replace Michel Doukeris, who will become global CEO of AB InBev.
