The American Red Cross asked Anheuser-Busch to help Anheuser-Busch deliver a large supply of water to support communities in Guam that had suffered severe damage from Typhoon Mawar. The donation was made effective with the shipment of a truck carrying more than 50,000 cans of drinking water to help people affected by the storm and its aftermath.
Anheuser-Busch’s wholesale partner, Ambros Inc. was responsible for distributing emergency drinking water in Tamuning, Guam. The organization worked with the American Red Cross to provide needed resources to local residents.
“The American Red Cross is grateful for Anheuser-Busch’s generous donation of drinking water, which is critical to our relief efforts to support families recovering from Typhoon Mawar in Guam.”
said David Staszak, vice president of fundraising for the American Red Cross division.
For years, Anheuser-Busch has demonstrated its commitment to helping communities affected by natural disasters or crises in general. This is reflected in the emergency drinking water program that has been in place since 1988, which continues to allocate thousands of cans of water, supplying a total of 90 million since its inception.
Relief efforts for communities and volunteer fire departments were supported by Anheuser-Busch when they donated more than 3 million cans of water in 49 states during 2022.
