Anheuser-Busch and its distribution partners have partnered with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) to deliver emergency drinking water to volunteer fire departments across the United States.

This is the sixth year Anheuser-Busch has worked with the NVFC, and they will ship more than 49,000 cans to 21 fire departments in Mississippi. There is a long history of the brewery working together to support their communities and especially with the fire department.

Across the country, 65 percent of fire departments – often the first line of defense in local emergencies – are volunteers, often with limited budgets for critical supplies. Anheuser-Busch water donations allow these departments to free up limited resources for other expenses or equipment needed to keep their team prepared to respond to any emergency or disaster.

Produced and canned by Anheuser-Busch breweries, more than 1.5 million cans of emergency drinking water will be distributed to more than 630 volunteer fire departments in 44 states throughout the summer as part of the brewer’s broader effort to promote disaster preparedness across the country.

“Our continued partnership with the NVFC and volunteer firefighters across the country embodies Anheuser-Busch’s heritage along with a commitment and long history of supporting our communities when they need us most, because that’s who we are,” said Cesar Vargas, Director of External Affairs for Anheuser-Busch, Inc.said Cesar Vargas, Director of External Affairs for Anheuser-Busch. “Together with our distribution partners, Anheuser-Busch is honored to leverage our production, packaging and logistics capabilities to help firefighters.”
