Anfaco has presented the progress on scientific-technological activities for the first half of 2024, during the meeting of its governing council. The projects are developed in 4 lines, which are biotechnology and health, sustainability and circular economy, digitalization and industry 4.0, marine resources and aquaculture. These guidelines were defined by the business sector and validated during the governing council without changes to the entity’s 2024-2026 Strategic Plan.
The entity’s board of directors was informed of the 54 innovation projects underway, including an automatic tuna packing line and a zero-waste project.
Among them is the factory of the future for the canning industry that intends to develop an automatic tuna packing line and in which 2.5 million euros will be allocated. Another project seeks to achieve the desired zero waste,
with a budget of 4 million. All projects that Anfaco-Cecopesca has in execution and will mobilize 94 million euros.
