The National Association of Canned Fish and Seafood Manufacturers (Anfaco-Cecopesca) has awarded its 2024 Medals, recognizing, among others, the still Secretary of State for Trade, Xiana Méndez, who has said goodbye as she will soon occupy the Spanish position of executive director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In front of nearly a hundred people, in an event held in Vigo at the headquarters of the Círculo de Empresarios de Galicia, the organization wanted to honor those who have contributed to the smooth running of the canning sector, allowing Anfaco to celebrate its 120th anniversary.
On this occasion, the lifetime achievement medals went to Rosa María Piñeiro, an employee of Jealsa Foods since 1975; Francisco Domínguez, an employee of Bolton Food since 1976; and María Fabiola Prado, an employee of Escurís since 1976.
