President Trump yesterday signed an executive order aimed at expanding production of critical minerals in the United States. This decision has been supported by the Aluminum Association which aims to improve U.S. material self-sufficiency and minimize the need for critical minerals from non-market or adversary countries.
As one of only 11 mineral commodities included on all government lists of critical materials, aluminum is essential to protecting the North American way of life, so the AA is determined to increase U.S. aluminum production to support downstream investments and economic and national security.
