This year’s LARAC Conference will be attended by Alupro, an organization dedicated to the recycling of aluminum containers. At this event, they will showcase their latest consumer awareness campaigns and also present innovative educational initiatives. The next event dedicated to recycling and waste management will be held at The Hilton Metropole in Birmingham from October 11-12. At this meeting, hundreds of local authority representatives from across the UK will meet to discuss policy, funding, collaboration and best practice in relation to these issues.
During the event, representatives will have the opportunity to talk to the Alupro team about their various initiatives to promote the recycling of metal packaging. Among them is MetalMatters, a campaign that seeks to encourage the direct participation of households in the separation and recycling of this type of materials. Also to be discussed is #FoilFriday, a free, downloadable campaign that seeks to encourage aluminum foil recycling. In addition, the different educational campaigns promoted by Alupro, which are linked to the curriculum and seek to raise awareness among future generations about the importance of being more sustainable, will be discussed.
Alupro, in addition to its presence at the LARAC partner exhibition, will also hold a raffle in which one of the attendees will have the chance to win a deluxe basket of aluminum-packed goodies. To participate, it is only necessary to visit the Alupro booth at the exhibition.
On the other hand, Tom Giddings, who is the managing director of Alupro, mentioned that the LARAC Conference brings together representatives from all local authorities in the UK to discuss and learn more about important updates in waste management. These changes include new policies, funding opportunities, collaborations and best practice case studies. This event provides a unique opportunity to present the latest awareness campaigns and educational initiatives, as well as to share the positive results of their most recent collaborations.
