Alupro, the aluminum packaging recycling organization, will be one of the sponsors of this year’s CLAIRE Wales Conference. The event, which will take place at the University of Wales on Wednesday, November 6, will explore the future of recycling and the role of collaboration in accelerating progress towards.
The conference will feature a number of outstanding keynote speakers, along with a series of in-depth question and answer sessions and various networking opportunities. Delegates will also include representatives from a number of other Welsh councils and the border areas of England.
Along with Alupro, sponsors of the event include the European Recycling Platform, Goldstone Books, Impact Environmental Group, SSI Schäfer, Storm, Nappi Cycle and Roadvert.
Commenting on the event, Tom Giddings, CEO of Alupro, said: “Wales currently ranks second in the global household recycling performance table, with a recycling rate of 65%, which will offset the release of over 400,000 tons of CO2 equivalent per year. While Welsh councils are already leading the way, building on solid foundations will be critical to creating an even better future.
At this year’s conference, delegates will have the opportunity to hear the perspective of some of the industry’s leading voices, learn from best practices and discuss how collaboration between councils will accelerate performance to meet recycling targets faster and more efficiently.
